When Roxanne and I moved from east Tennessee to Mount Pleasant in December of 2014, our plan was to lease for an indefinite period of time. We would then revisit which we felt was the wiser decision, to lease or own, after we became fully acquainted with the area. We knew essentially no one and did home and condo searches online or by following "Open House" and "For Sale" signs. While investigating an open house one Sunday afternoon, we met Geoffrey and immediately connected. We knew we had found the person to help us navigate the real estate market in town. From that point on, Geoffrey patiently arranged appointment after appointment for us to view properties which, for various reasons, were not destined to be out dream home. Fast forward through countless showings and to the spring of 2018. We found our home in Park West and Geoffrey was there from initial inspection and price wrangling through closing. If not his experience, we would have overlooked several items the builder/seller needed to address and helped us avoid closing to hastily. We have been in our home almost a year and couldn't be happier. Even more important, we call Geoffrey a friend and he and his family are considered a part of ours. My husband and I took a leap of faith and decided to buy a condo on Daniel Island while living in Connecticut (we were looking for a sunny, warm place to get away to from New England winters). Geoffrey did all the reconnaissance work: keeping us informed of listings as they came onto the market and visiting the places we were interested in. He would then do live video tours with us so we could see everything virtually. It has been a very fast moving market and there would be no way for us to get down there in time for showings as most units seemed to be under contract within 24 hours - so Geoffrey needed to be fluid (and fast!).
We found a condo and flew down for the closing last week. Geoffrey was in regular contact with us throughout the entire process. It's pretty stressful buying property long distance and not seeing it in person until right before the closing, but Geoffrey guided us through it all and always made himself available. He was calm and reassuring and had lots of knowledge about the area. We would highly recommend Geoffrey to anyone looking to buy or sell property on Daniel Island and the surrounding area!

My experience with Geoffrey was great. I was relocating from another state to S.C. I was very uncomfortable & nervous as to how this relocation would take place.. It was easy. Geoffrey had handled a buy & a sell transactions for my son & daughter in law. We told him what we were looking for with restrictions. He produced a folder with descriptions & pictures so I could look at it at my leisure. Picked some properties that I thought fit the bill, then he patiently started showing us properties. About Geoffrey Ireland
After graduating in 1990 with a degree in Business and Marketing from the University of Southern Mississippi, Geoffrey launched his career in Florida with a Fortune 100 company specializing in strategic sales, marketing, and contract negotiations. After several moves, and multiple roles within the company he landed in Charleston in 2002 as a Senior Area Manager. When a company merger would have caused him to move his family several years later, he made the decision to change jobs. He took a business development role, allowing him to remain in the city he had grown to love. He has proven himself as a highly accomplished business leader having a stellar track record of success spanning 28 years.The frequent relocation contributed to Geoffrey developing a passion for real estate and home remodeling. He has bought and sold houses across the Southeast, and understands what it takes to turn a house into a home. He understands what clients really want; follow up, communication, honesty, and integrity.
Geoffrey has been married to his lovely wife Lori for 28 years and they have 3 children. He has called Mount Pleasant home for the last 17 years. When Geoffrey isn’t working on real estate, he is planning his next home improvement project and working on restoring his dream classic car.
In addition to his involvement in Habitat for Humanity, he is an active member of the Charleston Greater Business Network.
